Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology (KAIST)

Overview
Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology (KAIST) was established in 1971 and is located in Daejeon, 160 km south of Seoul, the capital city of Korea. KAIST is a home to several research centres and institutes, for example, KAIST Institute for Artificial Intelligence, KAIST Institute for Convergence (KIC) and KAIST Institute for IT Convergence (KIITC).
KAIST has produced a several Nobel Laureates, including Dr. Chang-jo Kim and Dr. Mu-ming Poo, who won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for their work on nerve cell signaling.
