Overview
Pennsylvania State University (Penn State University) is one of the largest in the largest in the United States with over 24 campuses across Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1855 as the Farmers' High School of Pennsylvania.
The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) was established in 1993 when computer engineering program and the computer science department merged. The department has 18 research areas, including Security and Privacy, Data Science & Artificial Intelligence, and Computer Architecture. Some notable alumni include Elon Musk, CAO of SpaceX.
