TU Wien

Overview
Technische Universität Wien (Tu Wien) was founded in 1815 as the Imperial-Royal Polytechnic Institute. It is one of the oldest technical universities in the German-speaking countries. Many programs at TU Wien are offered in German, but there is a growing number of English-taught programs to accommodate international students.
TU Wien has had a few Nobel laureates among its faculty and alumni. Notable laureates include Julius Wagner-Jauregg and Victor Franz Hess.
The Institute of Computer Engineering is a department at the TU Wien. Its research and teaching activities are primarily devoted to all aspects of the direct interaction of computer systems and their environment, from the lowest level of circuit and hardware architectures to safety-critical cyber-physical systems like industrial automation & smart grids, healthcare, spacecraft, and automotive.
