University of Limerick

Overview
University of Limerick (UL) is located in the western part of the country, on the banks of the River Shannon. It has over 16'500 students, including more than 2'000 international students each year. The university covers over 360 acres of land, which is about the size of 244 standard rugby fields. The University of Limerick was the first university in the Republic of Ireland to receive the Athena Swan Silver Award in 2022.
The QS rankings awarded UL the prestigious 5-star ranking in graduate employability, teaching, internationalization and other areas.
UL has an extensive Computing/ Engineering department with a strong reputation for teaching quality in Computing. The university has 400 PhD researchers and research institutes: Bernal, Lero and MACSI.
