Overview

The University of Montreal was established in 1878 as a French-language school and these days is one of the largest French-language institutes in the world. The university has multiple campuses across Montreal. The main campus on the northern slope of Mount Royal is the largest and incredibly beautiful.

The University of Montreal is well known for its AI and computer science research; it has a few dedicated research centers, including the Montreal Institute for Learning Algorithms (MILA) and the Institute for Data Valorization (IVADO).
