University of Washington
The University of Washington (UW) is a public research university located in Seattle, but it also has campuses in Bothell and Tacoma, Washington. The university was founded in 1861 and is one of the oldest universities on the West Coast in the United States.
UW is famous for its various achievements. For example, bubble gum, vinyl, synthetic rubber and the color TV tube were all invented at this university.
The University of Washington is ranked as one of the top universities in the world for studying computer science and engineering. The Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering offers Computer Science and Computer Engineering majors. Students in both majors can tailor the course according to their specific interests. More than 100 employers attend UW careers fairs every autumn and winter to recruit students from these programs.
