Therefore, while the sites are functional and get generated really fast, they don’t really stand out in any way, and further editing is always needed.

Another disadvantage of the Durable AI website builder is that you can’t install WordPress.

I found the Durable site editor quite simple and easy to use. You can quickly change colors, fonts, and button styles. On top of that, you’re able to regenerate entire sections and replace text or images as you please. However, while easy to use, the editor is quite limiting. For example, there’s no grid so you can’t just move images and text slightly – you can only swap the order, which is not ideal if you have bold creative ideas.

Hosting

Each site generated with Durable is also hosted on its servers. We wanted to see how well the hosting servers perform in terms of server response time and page load speed, as well as how well they handle sudden spikes in traffic. There’s some room for improvement when it comes to speed, especially considering that the sites built are pretty light. So, if you want to create a site with a large number of pages, images, or videos – the Durable AI website builder isn’t ideal.

That being said, when we checked how it managed multiple users, the site handled 50 virtual users pretty well, with only some spikes in server response time. This is quite impressive and means that even if your site is medium-sized, the servers won’t crash at sudden increases in visitor numbers.

After publishing my site, I looked at the business management dashboard to check out the options. The dashboard is quite minimalistic and easy to understand with 6 main tabs on the left-hand side:

• Website – to preview your analytics, add social links, create blog posts, manage your domain, and adjust your settings
• Marketing – for adding a logo, picking a color scheme, social media promotions, and adjusting your review settings
• CRM – this is where your customer database is, you can also create contact forms, set up auto-replies, and sync emails
• Invoice – for creating invoices, looking at your invoice history, and adjusting your tax information
• Business – to change your business info, add users, adjust AI settings, and manage your subscription

Analytics

In Durable’s analytics section, you can find a lot of useful info such as:

• How many users are currently online
• The number of unique visitors
• Page views
• The devices your visitors are using
• The number of views for specific pages and scrolls
• Visits each day
• Your site’s busiest hours

You can also adjust the data range from today up to the last 90 days. We found the analytics pretty comprehensive but there are some limitations. For example, there are no advanced eCommerce data like demographics, bounce rate, or cart abandonment stats.

However, if you need more comprehensive analytics you can link to a third-party tool such as Google Analytics.

Marketing

In terms of brand and review options, the Durable marketing section doesn’t offer anything particularly exciting. You can change your logo, select two main colors, and enable reviews for Facebook and Google.

However, I was impressed with the promotion section where Durable’s AI generates Google ads, emails, tweets, and Facebook posts. There are 10 voice styles to choose from and it’s preset for the content you want. So, you don’t need a lot of experience in AI prompt writing.

Customer Management

Durable offers an all-inclusive Customer relationship management system. I was quite impressed to find that you can set up automatic replies to leads to save time, as well as view your customer emails in Durable. You won’t need to so you keep jumping from your website to your email inbox every 10 minutes.

There’s also an option to import contacts in bulk directly into the CRM, making migration as simple as possible. Finally, Durable has a built-in form generation feature. If you’re unhappy with it, AI can regenerate the text and style, or you can adjust it manually.

Invoicing

Another business feature is the invoicing too. It doesn’t use the Durable AI, but still makes invoicing quick and easy. If you have already entered your tax info, all you have to do is select your contact of choice, include a due date, add billing items, and hit send. The invoice design is done for you.
