Apple upgrades MacBook Air by giving it a memory boost

The cheapest MacBook remains affordable but with double the RAM.

Apple announced its latest line of Mac devices during the last week of October. In addition to launching the iMac M4, Mac Mini, and MacBook Pro, the company also released its M4 chip lineup.

And the company did not forget its “world’s best-selling laptop” – the MacBook Air.

Despite the improvements, the latest MacBook Air still starts at $999. Previously, users had to pay $200 extra for a 16GB upgrade.

None of Apple’s released devices, including the iMac M4, Mac Mini, and MacBook Pro, now has less than 16GB of RAM.

The new update comes just after the launch of Apple Intelligence, which requires a lot of RAM to work properly.
