The production of the latest iPhone, which should be released in a month, has required extra hands.
It was reported that Foxconn, also known as Hon Hai Precision Industry, has hired more than 50,000 workers in Zhengzhou, China, in preparation for the upcoming release of the iPhone 16.
The assembler, known as iPhone’s largest factory, has put extra effort into recruiting more workers. They’re being offered a higher hourly wage, which is now $3.63, and returning staff with previous experience can expect a bonus of $1045.
Such hiring practices aren’t new to the company, with Foxconn known for increasing the number of its employees before a new product launch.
The highly anticipated iPhone 16 should be released this September. It will be one of two iPhone models to include Apple Intelligence, which is now undergoing beta testing.
