Fujifilm has introduced the latest addition to its X series family, the X-M5 camera, which should be released in mid-November.
The new device, which costs less than a thousand dollars, is made for photographers and vloggers who don’t want to rely on a smartphone.
One of the main specifications that makes the new device stand out is its weight. At 355 grams, the X-M5 camera is the lightest device in Fujifilm’s X-series. This makes the camera suitable for everyday use and convenient for content creators.
The camera will come in two colors – black or silver.
When it comes to features, the X-M5 is equipped with subject detection AF, which detects moving objects. It also includes a 26-megapixel X-Trans 4 CMOS sensor, which increases image and video quality.
For users who are into film photography, the camera offers eight film simulation models with different color tones for creating “unique color-rich” images.
However, the camera doesn’t have in-body image stabilization (IBIS), which requires users to use a tripod or stabilizer to avoid getting blurry pictures or shaky video footage.
The camera also doesn’t include a viewfinder (EVF) that provides the user with a view of how their shot would look. Instead of where EVF should be, users will find a 3.5mm mic input and the headphone port, for a more convenient use when filming.
The mirrorless digital camera is priced at $800, making it Fujifilm’s first budget-friendly camera in a while. However, the final cost may increase due to additional taxes.
