Ultrahuman pushes health-tracking further by adding AFib detection

Ultrahuman is taking personal health monitoring to the next level with its PowerPlugs platform.

With the rise of competition among smart ring creators, many users are tempted to choose the ring with the most functionalities.

With this in mind, Ultrahuman has launched the Ring AIR smart ring, which can track sleep, heart rate, and blood oxygen saturation. Its ring focuses on providing real-time data that helps users to comprehensively monitor their well-being.

Recently, the company also launched a platform called PowerPlugs. The platform allows users to choose what they want to track and "[i]nvest in the health tools that matter to you."

With PowerPlugs, users can track caffeine intake, vitamin D levels, or menstruation cycles. The platform also introduced the AFib Detection app, making the Ring AIR the world's first smart ring that can detect irregular heart rhythm atrial fibrillation.

Atrial fibrillation (AFib) is a heart condition that causes fast and irregular heartbeats. This condition interrupts blood flow and can cause palpitations, chest pain, and shortness of breath. AFib can also lead to the formation of blood clots and stroke.

"This PowerPlug discreetly monitors your heart rhythm every night, detecting early signs of AFib (atrial fibrillation). Enjoy seamless and nocturnal monitoring with daily medical-grade reports for peace of mind," shares Ultrahuman.

Users can choose from PowerPlugs' free and premium options. Charges apply "only to medical-grade experiences or partner-developed solutions, covering necessary licensing and regulatory costs." The platform is accessed through the Ultrahuman app.
