NordVPN has unveiled NordLabs, a platform for developers and engineers to experiment with emerging technologies like AI.
Signed up users will be able to first test NordLabs in September. It will be a sandbox for developers to explore emerging technologies like AI in creating new tools and services.
"We do not expect that all projects appearing in NordLabs will later become fully maintained standalone products, but we are thrilled about the opportunity to curb cutting-edge technologies for better internet," Vykintas Maknickas, the head of product strategy at Nord Security, is quoted as saying.
The platform isn't reserved solely for NordVPN's technical experts. The company extends an invitation to early tech enthusiasts, offering them a chance to be at the forefront of innovation before it cascades into the mainstream.
Users outside NordVPN who are willing to experiment with the new product should join a waiting list.
In its inaugural phase, NordLabs will showcase creations, including a machine learning-powered tool aimed at fortifying the identification of phishing emails, alongside another tool tailored to unmask AI-generated images.
