Royal Mail Group has been crippled by a cyber incident and is temporarily unable to dispatch items overseas.
"We're experiencing disruption to our international export services and are temporarily unable to dispatch items to overseas destinations. We strongly advise customers to hold any export items while we work to resolve the issue. Sorry for any disruption this may cause," Royal Mail said in a tweeted statement.
Disruption was caused by a cyber incident.
Royal Mail asked its customers to temporarily stop submitting any export items into the network while they work to resolve the issue.
The UK National Cyber Security Centre said it was aiding the company.
"We are aware of an incident affecting Royal Mail Group Ltd and are working with the company, alongside the National Crime Agency, to fully understand the impact," it said.
This is a developing story.
