Amazon launches AI Art feature for Fire TV

Amazon has introduced an AI-powered image generator, which uses Alexa prompts to create artwork for supported Fire TV.

The US tech giant is joining in the everything-AI wave with its AI Art feature, which allows users to prompt the Alexa voice assistant to generate their desired wallpaper for the TV screen.

“Create a personalized image by opening the Ambient Experience and giving Alexa an imagination-driven prompt, such as “Alexa, create a background of a medieval castle on Mars” or “Alexa, create an image of cherry blossoms in the snow,” Amazon said.

Amazon says the new feature relies on the Titan Image Generator model, which translates between text and images. According to the company, the generator is a generative AI model trained on photographs and captions that can produce photorealistic images.

AI Art’s users can add the image to their Amazon Photos account. However, the new feature is only available on devices with the Ambient Experience functionality, meaning only owners of Amazon’s latest Fire TV Stick 4K Max and the Fire TV Omni QLED series will be able to try out the AI Art.
