Apple is now extending its Business Connect to businesses without a physical location.
Apple’s Business Connect program allows brands to submit information about their businesses, which can then be showcased through various Apple applications.
Apple updated the program by announcing that companies of all sizes can manage how their brand appears in places like Apple Maps, Mail, Wallet, and Siri, with more applications being added later.
Now, verified businesses, even those without a physical location, can create a profile.
Business Connect allows companies to add their brand name and logo to emails so that customers can recognize them more easily without arousing suspicion that they’re getting spam or phishing emails.
In Tap to Pay for iPhones, brands can also showcase their logo instead of the category icon so that users know they’re sending payment to a legitimate company.
Apple says that Business Connect will also include registration for Business Caller ID next year. Thanks to this feature, users will be able to see that a certain business is trying to contact them, once again limiting the risk of answering a spam call. The Business Caller ID will include a brand’s name, logo, and department.
Apple Business Connect is free. Users can sign up using a new or existing Apple Account.
