Google Podcasts: closing date, migration to other platforms

Google Podcasts is shutting down in the US on April 2nd.

With Google Podcasts reaching its end, the official date of its closing is April 2nd.

Users are asked to migrate their subscriptions to YouTube Music until before the termination date. Those who aren’t able to can still migrate to YouTube music “or a supported podcast app,” but they won’t be able to stream through Google Podcasts.

The migration will take place by July 2024.

Before initiating the change, users are asked to make sure they have YouTube Music on their devices as well as ensuring that the app is up to date.
