The Meta-owned social media platform has introduced new features to enhance its messaging experience.
Instagram introduced 17 packs or more than 300 new stickers that users can choose from while texting with others through direct messaging.
Users can also unleash their creativity by making their own stickers and favoriting them in the chat.
One of the new features allows users to name chats and create nicknames for others.
The app says nicknames will only appear in direct messages and will not change a person’s username anywhere else. The nicknames can be changed at any time.
Another additional feature that Instagram has presented is live location sharing.
Users can share their live location for up to one hour in their personal messages, whether that would be a one-on-one chat or a group chat.
The company says it should help users find each other more easily at various events such as concerts, outings, and gatherings.
Instagram notes that the location-sharing feature is currently only available in some countries.
Previously, it was noticed that the social media app may be adding a new song-sharing feature, in collaboration with Spotify, that allows users to share what they’re listening to through its Notes feature.
