Apple TV+ is introducing InSight to help users to expand their taste in movies and music.
Starting on Monday, Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) revealed some new features dedicated to tvOS 18.
One of which is InSight, "a feature that displays timely information about actors, characters, and music from Apple TV+ movies and shows onscreen in real time," reports Apple.
With the new feature, which will become available in the fall, users can quickly find out who the actor in the movie is or what song is played in the scene and add it to their Apple Music playlist.
InSight will also work on an iPhone when used as an Apple TV remote.
Seeing actors' background information isn't a new concept, as Amazon's X-Ray feature already does that. Nevertheless, one element that makes InSight stand out is its ability to add songs from movies and TV shows to users' Apple Music playlists.
tvOS 18 will also include an updated Enhanced Dialogue, which will have "greater vocal clarity over music, action, and background noise on Apple TV 4K."
The new software update will also bring changes to subtitles. Automatic subtitles will be available "when the language in a show or film does not match the device language" when the user skips back or mutes the TV.
