Sonos Ace headphones: specs, price, and release date revealed

Sonos, the American audio equipment company, has announced its first headphones, Sonos Ace, which will launch on June 5th. The device is already available to pre-order.

The new headphones, priced at $449, will come in either black or white colors.

Their design will include a special cushion that reduces “contact with your ear.” The headphones can be controlled with a “Content Key” to adjust the volume, and media and calls can be played with the click of a button.

Sonos Ace specifications include:

  • A dynamic head tracking feature that tracks the user’s head movements and “adapts the sound to keep you centered in every scene” thanks to integrated Dolby Atmos technology
  • Wireless connection or connection through USB-C and 3.5 mm cables
  • Active Noise Cancellation
  • Aware mode that plays “ambient sounds” so the user can hear what’s around them
  • Up to 30 hours of battery life with Active Noise Cancellation or Aware mode on
  • Fast charging that takes three minutes to charge headphones for three hours of playback

Sonos Ace will be compatible with Apple and Android devices. The headphones also have a “seamless switching” function that allows users to use Sonos Ace on two devices without connecting to each one separately.
