Dutch electronics manufacturer launches “forever” earbuds

Apparently, what sets the new Fairbuds apart is that they’re "the world's most repairable premium earbuds."

Fairphone says that its most recent innovation, known as Fairbuds, comes with replaceable batteries for the earbuds as well as a charging case. The earbuds are also repairable and have a 3-year warranty.

The company claims to manufacture its production sustainability and claims to employ recycled and responsibly sourced materials where possible.

Other specifications include:

  • Active noise canceling (ANC) and Environmental Noise Canceling (ENC)
  • Titanium coated drivers
  • Dual connectivity, allowing connection among multiple devices at the same time
  • Water resistance rating IP54
  • Battery life: six hours for earbuds and 20 hours for charging case

The earbuds come in two colors (black and white) and have three different ear tip sizes for a custom fit.

Fairbuds also comes with an app that allows users to manage settings and get recent updates. The app is available on iOS and Android.

A charger and USB cable are not included with the newly released earbuds. The company says the move is aimed to reduce plastic waste.
