Just a day after the PlayStation network went down, another gamer's haven, Xbox Live, went down for several hours, barring users from signing in to their Xbox profile.
Thousands of users were unable to use their Xbox gaming consoles, after the gaming delivery platform went down.
“We are aware users are experiencing issues with sign-in, launching games, and joining parties,” read a message on Xbox Support X page.
Users should no longer be experiencing issues with sign-in, launching games, and joining parties. Thank you for all your patience, reports, and happy gaming! https://t.co/ISfMQBj1Gb

Some users were suspicious about the timing of the outage, as Xbox's main competitor, Sony-owned PlayStation, experienced a similar outage yesterday. While some suspected a “coordinated attack,” there’s no evidence to support such claims.
After over two hours of downtime, Xbox support said that users should be able to sign-in, launch games and join gaming parties with no issues.
Neither Sony, nor Microsoft, Xbox’s owner, have publicly disclosed the nature of the outages.
