Activision’s Call of Duty reported down for thousands
Real time monitoring website DownDectector is reporting that worldwide users of the video game series Call of Duty are having problems connecting to its network server.

Real-time monitoring website Downdectector is reporting that worldwide users of the video game series Call of Duty are having problems connecting to its network server.
The report came in minutes before 5pm ET and appears to be affecting users of both the gaming console and PC desktop versions.
By 5.30pm ET, over 8,000 users were reporting connectivity problems in the US, more than double the numbers recorded by Downdetector when the outage first occurred at 4.56pm.
Cybernews also had intermittent troubles connecting to the Call of Duty website.
Over 2,500 users are being effected in the UK, that number has also increased since it the outage began.
Hundreds of users in multiple nations around the world are also reporting the video game being down.
Over 90% of of the issues are related to server connectivity, while an average 10% or less of users have reported issues with game play, and less than 2% are having login troubles, Downdetector reported.
Considered to be one of the world’s most popular gaming franchise, Call of Duty is a first-person shooter video game created by the American gaming titan Activision.
The Call of Duty franchise includes Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Black Ops 1, 2, 3 and 4, and Call of Duty WWII.
So far there has been no word from Activision on what is causing the outage.
