Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, has been accused of stealing content in the past, now a famous film director has come at the billionaire asking for his designs back.
Elon Musk has been accused of stealing memes from netizens across his platform X, reposting them, and failing to credit the original creator.
Well, history now seems to be repeating itself. The independent film director responsible for ‘I, Robot’ has called Musk out on his own platform.
Alex Proyas said, “Hey Elon, can I have my designs back, please?” in an X post that garnered almost eight million views.

The designs in question were featured in Musk’s latest event, ‘We, Robot,’ which sounds eerily similar to the title of Proyas hit film.
During the event, Musk unveiled the Cybercab, Robovan, and latest Optimus robots, which are reminiscent of the vehicles and humanoid figures in Proyas’ ‘I, Robot.’
The Australian film director alleges that Musk stole his designs from the hit 2004 Sci-Fi movie ‘I, Robot,’ starring Will Smith.
In the movie, Smith is forced to traverse Chicago in 2035, where robots are seemingly taking over common jobs. Detective Del Spooner (Smith) is sent out to investigate an alleged suicide that he believes is actually a murder carried out by a humanoid robot.
While Proyas believes that Musk’s Cybercab, Optimus robot, and Robovan are copies, users on X think differently.
Many people commended Musk for bringing the film's fictional machines to life, and others accused Proyas of copying the designs himself.
One user said, “Be honored. What you did with CGI, Elon Musk did in reality.”
Another user said:
“Ahem *clears throat* The original humanoid robot From Metropolis, Art Deco era locomotives, and the 1939 Duesenberg Coupe would all like a word.”
However, there was some criticism, with some people saying that Musk has no ideas of his own.
