Hackers claim to sell confidential data of US critical infrastructure manufacturer

Private data allegedly belonging to around 50,000 Sanmina employees and files containing confidential information have been found on a hacker forum.
A threat actor has listed a dataset for sale that allegedly belongs to American electronics manufacturer Sanmina Corporation.
The leaked dataset included full names, emails, phone numbers, job titles, and other private data of around 50,000 company employees.
Cybercriminals also claim to have 200 documents in PDF format containing confidential information, like the company’s network structure and credentials. Cybernews was unable to verify the seller’s claims independently. The dataset was valued at $2000.
Sanmina Corporation works with critical infrastructure, providing manufacturing services to medical systems, communication networks, defense, aerospace, energy, computing, and storage.
Cybernews contacted Sanmina Corporation but has yet to receive a response at the time of writing.
If the claims are proven to be true, the corporation is not the first to fall victim to this particular threat actor. Previously this month, the same actor listed allegedly stolen sensitive data belonging to Skybound Entertainment users and employees. This is the company behind The Walking Dead comic book series.
