
LITE-ON, a Taiwanese electronics giant, has allegedly suffered a cyberattack, with a ransomware gang claiming to have leaked the company’s data.
On July 26th, 2024, the ransomware gang RansomEXX posted a data set on their leak site on the DarkNet, claiming it to belong to LITE-ON Technology Corporation.
The total size of the dataset is claimed to be 142.7GB. The Cybernews research team was not able to independently confirm the authenticity of the data at the time of publication.
Cybernews has contacted LITE-ON, but a response has yet to be received.

Headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan, the multinational corporation is a world leader in LED lighting solutions, optoelectronics, automotive electronics, semiconductor and computer components, and power management modules. Reportedly, the company's annual revenue reaches NT$148.3 billion equivalent to $4.52 billion.
The ransomware gang has previously claimed to have breached IT company Planet Group International and industrial refrigeration company Wagner-Meinert.
