
Microsoft has resolved an outage after users were unable to access certain Microsoft 365 apps due to issues affecting multi-factor authentication (MFA).
The tech giant took to social media to explain that it was investigating an issue relating to its MFA.
The post said, “We're investigating an issue in which Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) may prevent users from accessing some Microsoft 365 (M365) Apps.”

Microsoft said that the issue will likely affect users who authenticate using MFA. This outage apparently blocked users from accessing their Microsoft 365 apps.
The tech giant redirected affected traffic, which apparently improved service availability.
Downdector, a platform that allows users to report outages in real time, shows that there are possible problems with Microsoft 365 in the US.
However, Microsoft said that “service availability is restored, and the issue is resolved.” The scope and cause of the incident however is still unclear.
