Starlink terminals disrupted for Russian military on frontline

Russian forces have faced disruptions in their Starlink communications, with terminals blocked along the frontline.

Russia has been experiencing interference with Starlink satellite communications terminals, which are operated by Elon Musk's Space X.

According to Russian war correspondents, approximately 10% of the Starlink terminals along the Russian frontline were blocked earlier this week.

Additionally, the admin of the pro-Russian Z-channel Tupi4ok Dizaynera claimed that several terminals went offline at once, though not all were impacted.

Ukraine's military has actively been using Starlink for communication since the Russian invasion of their territory, which is approaching three years since attacks began.

Russian forces, meanwhile, have been acquiring Starlink terminals from the black market for use in occupied territories.

The Pentagon earlier stated that the American and Ukrainian governments have been working with SpaceX to clamp down on the unauthorized use of equipment, especially by sanctioned parties.

In 2023, Ukraine's largest mobile operator, Kyivstar, signed an agreement with Starlink, a SpaceX division, to deploy the cutting-edge Direct-to-Cell satellite communication technology.
