Elementor, the world’s leading WordPress website builder, has announced the launch of Ally, a new web accessibility plugin that makes it easier for WordPress users to identify and fix accessibility issues. As part of the launch, users can scan their site for free and get 50% off all paid plans to unlock powerful AI-based remediation tools—for a limited time.
At the heart of Ally is the Ally Assistant, a powerful feature that scans any page on your site and detects 180+ of the most common accessibility violations, based on WCAG 2.1 AA standards. These include:
- Missing alt text
- Inaccessible forms
- Low contrast ratios
- Broken page structure
- Missing ARIA roles and labels
- And more
Once violations are detected, Ally guides users with clear, step-by-step instructions—and even offers AI-powered fixes for content and code, like improving link descriptions or adding image alt text.
“We built Ally to simplify web accessibility for the millions of WordPress users who want to do better but don’t know where to start,” said Yoni Luksenberg, CEO and Co-Founder of Elementor. “It’s not just about identifying issues, it’s about helping creators fix them and build for everyone.”
In addition to the Assistant, Ally offers:
- A fully customizable Usability Widget that lets site visitors adjust contrast, font sizes, spacing, and more—all in real time.
- An Accessibility Statement Generator that creates a legally-compliant statement in seconds, helping site owners meet global accessibility standards with minimal effort.
