OpenAI is finishing the year with a new, yet familiar feature. However, it’s not available to all users.
The end of the year is a typical time when people take a step back and reflect on their achievements, finished plans, and perhaps newly formed habits. And even if this is not the case, there are apps that remind us in one form or another how our year was.
This is why Spotify Wrapped became so popular, prompting other services to include a similar feature. This year, OpenAI is releasing “Your Year with ChatGPT.”
The ChatGPT Wrapped can be accessed by users in the US, UK, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia.
This data is available to users with the free, Plus, and Pro plans, according to TechCrunch. It also reports that the feature isn’t available to users with Team, Enterprise, or Education accounts.
The company also notes that the ChatGPT yearly review is shown to users who have “reference saved memory and reference chat history turned on.”
While this data helps the company provide its users with these wrap-ups and pique their interest, users shouldn’t forget that it also raises privacy concerns. It has been previously reported that while people may assume that it’s a “confidential” service, it isn’t, as there’s no law in place that would protect what you’re sharing with AI.

“Your Year with ChatGPT” reveals how users have been utilizing the chatbot by giving them awards. For example, a user who used the AI tool to find a solution to their problem would be given a “Creative Debugger” award.
While such recaps often pop up automatically, this isn’t the case with ChatGPT. To access the yearly review, users can ask ChatGPT to provide them with “Your Year with ChatGPT.”
The recap, provided by OpenAI, is displayed on the web and on iOS and Android.
