Spotify Wrapped 2025 has just been released, but it’s a bit different this year.
Just like every year, music lovers get a Spotify Wrapped. This year, Spotify has released its annual Spotify Wrapped early. It’s usually released at the beginning of December, but historically, it’s been released around the 10th or a little later.
While we’ve been blessed with this early release, there’s a different way to navigate your Spotify Wrapped compared to last year.
How do I find my Spotify Wrapped 2025?
Firstly, Spotify Wrapped might not appear in the app immediately.
Instead, users may need to visit the Spotify Wrapped website and scan a QR code, which will then direct them to the app.
This may be why users aren’t seeing their Spotify Wrapped straight away.
However, depending on time zones, your Spotify Wrapped should pop up automatically in the app, as long as your app is updated.
But if you’re impatient, you can access it through the website.
How does Spotify know what your favourite artists and songs are?
The data obtained by Spotify should tell the company all they need to know about your streaming habits.
Spotify simply synthesizes all your listening data, like how many times you listened to specific songs and artists.
“Wrapped captures your 2025 listening journey from January until mid-November, just a few weeks prior to this year’s launch on December 3rd, making it as personal and up-to-date as possible,” Spotify said in a blog post.
Unlike previous years, Spotify has filtered out background noise, such as white noise, so your Wrapped “reflects the real soundtrack of your year.”
Who’s the Spotify Wrapped top artist this year?
Bad Bunny has been crowned the world’s top artist for the fourth year in a row and is the most-streamed Wrapped artist globally.
Bad Bunny’s latest album has also made Wrapped’s top album of the year.
Spotify has said that Bad Bunny’s victory “isn’t an editorial choice.” Instead, it's a reflection of users’ listening habits, every stream, and every playlist addition.
“With this achievement, Bad Bunny becomes the first artist ever to claim the top spot four times,” Spotify said in a blog post.
How’s Spotify Wrapped 2025 different from 2024?
This year, Spotify Wrapped surprised music fans with a few new features that weren’t present last year.
For example, this year the Wrapped presentation includes “Your Music Age, “ where the streaming platform informs just how old the user is music-wise.
“Age is just a number, don’t take it personally,“ it’s written just one slide ahead of the big number reveal.
This year’s Wrapped also includes two quiz questions where users can try to guess which of the five listed songs and the artists topped their list. If a listener taps on a song and its background turns lemon green, the guess is right.
Another new feature is “the Music Club,” which a user is included in based on the mood or vibe of music they have preferred in 2025. The club names vary from Seratonin, Cloud Stat Society, Grit Collective, to “Full Charge Crew”, Cosmic Stereo Club, or “Brit Collective”, which is presented as a club that “believes in rebellion through music.”
Once a person is assigned to a club, they are also presented with their roles, for instance, a leader – one who reflects the club’s values, thus becoming a role model.
Finally, the Spotify Wrap includes an animated slide in which users can see how their favourite artists were “racing” to reach the top spot. Bubbles with artists' images interchange as one comes into the lead instead of the other. As the months change, the racing images come in and out of the “race” depending on what the person was listening to that month.
Just as last year, the Spotify Wrapped includes the usual features that make Spotify Wrapped so unique, including minutes listened, top genres, and top artists.
