President Donald Trump’s announcement that the US is officially renaming AI to “super intelligence” could bring a fortune to a small European nation.
Speaking at the UN General Assembly on September 22nd, Trump said that the US is renaming AI, because, according to POTUS, the word “artificial” in the term makes intelligence sound “fake.”
“It is not fake. It is actually amazing. It is exactly the opposite of what it purports,” he said.
The president declared that all official US documents will be changed to include a “much more accurate term” – super intelligence.
“Welcome to the new world of super intelligence – SI,” Trump said.
The unexpected announcement follows a survey that Trump launched on his social media platform Truth Social, asking followers to choose between 2 options: “super intelligence” and “superior intelligence.” The majority (65%) voted for the former.

Leading AI labs may also be among the first ones to adopt the term SI.
Until now, super intelligence has been loosely defined as a hypothetical system that operates beyond human-level intelligence, surpassing even the capabilities of – again – theoretical human-level artificial general intelligence (AGI).
