Manchester United footballer Bruno Fernandes’s X account has been hacked. The Premier League club has confirmed the breach and told fans not to interact with the account.
“Bruno Fernandes’s X account has been hacked. Supporters should not engage with any of the posts or direct messages,” the official X account for Manchester United said.
This post came after Fernandes’s account began spouting a slew of odd and sometimes derogatory messages on X.
A thread was published by an X user allegedly showing some of the now-deleted posts uploaded to the Manchester United captain’s account.
Some messages within the thread include the hashtag “jerk4kirk,” a phrase related to the late far-right activist Charlie Kirk, and a post that asks former OnlyFans model Bonnie Blue to “collab.”
The hacker supposedly posted, posing as Fernandes, that they’re “tryna shove a ball in your tart.”
“I can’t lie, Cristiano is packing,” was another supposed post published on Fernandes’s account, talking about his Portuguese national team teammate, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Notably, the hacker posted via the compromised account that Manchester United should “get rid of INEOS.”
INEOS is a major British chemical company that operates on a multinational scale. The conglomerate, founded by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, co-owns the Manchester United football club, exercising sporting control, according to the INEOS website.
This comes after heavy criticism of Ratcliffe following the firing of Manchester United’s Portuguese manager, Ruben Amorim.
