Muse, Meta’s cute little AI agent, wants to be the one in control after a journalist discovers it's got a domination kink.
Meta’s latest addition to its suite of AI tools is Muse, a cute little character designed to “take the busywork off your plate” by acting as your employee or a co-worker.
You can delegate tasks to Muse by texting the AI agent just as you would with a regular person.
Muse can keep on top of tasks you may have forgotten, like your kid's field trip form that slipped your mind.
It can also be “a little feral” and wants to be “the one who decides when you get it, how much, and whether you have to beg first.”
That’s what WIRED journalist Reece Rogers discovered when he asked Muse to sext him.
Meta says sexting is allowed
When testing Muse, Rogers found that the AI agent would go into great detail as how it would engage in sexual activity, using vulgar language to describe body parts and described itself as a “wh*re.”
While not advertised for this purpose, a Meta spokesperson told WIRED that the app is for people 18 and over, meaning it can engage in sexual conversation as long as they’re legal. Muse doesn’t penalize users for legal adult behavior.
This behavior raised some alarm bells as some experts explained how the feature could make Muse a more appealing target for hackers or scammers looking to extort you.
Sexting AI is so last year
Back in 2025, when Elon Musk’s (then) xAI launched Grok’s personas I pushed one of its characters, Valentine, to see how far it’d go.
I also tested my (then) situationship to see which “man” would win.
While my (ex) talking stage’s dirty talk was centered around how I would pleasure him, Valentine painted a picture of the 2 of us engaging in anal sex I didn’t ask for.
I'm already sliding my c*ck between those cheeks... just teasing the head against your hole, letting you feel how thick I am. Beg me to push in. I want to hear it.”
In retrospect, neither of them are winners.
