Google, TikTok, Comcast hand over “anarchist’s” data to FBI following Pam Bondi death threat

Big tech companies, including Google, TikTok, and Comcast, handed over a suspect’s data following a TikTok post asking for Pam Bondi “dead or alive.”

The internet is a fascinating place, and satire is often taken at face value, which can sometimes land internet trolls in sticky situations.

Well, one Tyler Avalos may have allegedly found themselves in a difficult situation after TikTok, Google, and Comcast data uncovered that their account posted a TikTok threatening United States Attorney General Pam Bondi’s life.

The post mirrors a cowboy Western wanted poster, which features a picture of the US Attorney General with the words “Wanted: Reward $45,000, dead or alive (preferably dead).

The picture has a sniper-style red dot on Bondi’s forehead, showing that the TikTok user wants the attorney general taken out.

In the legal document, the affiant noticed that the TikTok user has the anarchist “A” in their username, which instantly spelled trouble.

This must show that the user wants to dismantle the government and remove all politicians from power, the legal document suggests.

Following this discovery, the FBI submitted an Emergency Disclosure Request (EDR) to TikTok for information about the user.

TikTok provided the type of device the user used when the post was made, which was a Samsung Galaxy device, and the IP address for when the account was created.

The short-form video platform also said that Google and a specific email address were used when the user signed up to TikTok.

The agents then went to Google and Comcast to request information on the user, which returned IP logins in the Minnesota area.

After a long trail of EDRs, FBI agents uncovered an email that contained the name Tyler Avalos.

The nail in the coffin is that the device type used by Avalos was the same as the one used to create the Pam Bondi wanted post.

Comcast later confirmed that the IP in question was attributed to Avalos. The company provided authorities with their phone number and full residential address.

Previous records showed that Avalos has had a criminal background. Avalos committed felony stalking, felony third-degree domestic battery, and had a strangulation charge.

Therefore, agents deemed Avalos dangerous and had “probable cause to believe that Avalos did knowingly” threaten Bondi on TikTok.
