Alien art or hoax? Mysterious sphere baffles scientists in Colombia

A mysterious metal sphere found in Colombia has baffled scientists – was it alien tech, cryptic art, or just a hoax?

A strange orb sphere was found in Buga, Colombia on March 2nd. The orb was recovered by a local couple. It weighed approximately 4.5 pounds and had “the temperature of a refrigerator.”

Eyewitnesses claim they saw it zigzagging in the sky, defying known aircraft. Meanwhile there has been no official government acknowledgement of the incident.

The exterior of the object has been described as being either titanium or steel, yet at this stage remains inconclusive.

Cognitive neuroscientist and researcher of UFOs/UAPs Dr. Julia Mossbridge told FoxNews:

“It ends up making us very confused when something shows up that doesn't fit our model of the world,” implying a form of cognitive dissonance.

This is when two conflicting views are apparent, and new information is uncovered, challenging what was originally thought to be true – sometimes causing discomfort, confusion, and denial.

Language of the unknown

An AI-assisted analysis has been helpful to fringe researchers, who claimed that the sphere's message was linked to environmental decline and transformation.

The sphere had symbols etched and engraved from an early Germanic language and even Mesopotamian cuneiform, one of the earliest forms of writing.

Researchers interpreted the symbols as a call to raise consciousness about humanity's penchant for destroying the environment.

There was no welding evident on the globe either, raising the either/or question of whether it's an alien entity or simply human art imitating extra-terrestrials.

Hoax or hyperobject?

Mossbridge mused that artists may be imitating alien aesthetics intentionally.

"If an artist is doing this, why is that? Well, I think it's partly the same reason. It's because we're learning that we don't understand what's in our skies or our waters. And there's something going on that's essentially bigger than us,” she clarified. (pull quote)

The debate has gained momentum online, as questions of authenticity fuel further speculation.

Skeptics have asked whether the orb could be a prop, a sculpture, or even part of a viral marketing stunt.

Local authorities, as often happens in such cases, have remained silent following the discovery.
