While Garmin hasn’t provided an official fix, some users remove their watch from iPhone’s Bluetooth settings, and then re-pair it with both the iPhone and the Connect app.
Users of Garmin Connect, the app that provides reports on user health and fitness data, are experiencing issues.
Many are sharing that they can’t sync their progress as their devices are disconnected from the service.
It’s been reported that the issue is related to the latest Garmin Connect 5.21 software update. It seems to affect only iPhone users.
Users on Reddit and the Garmin Forum report that after updating their app to the latest version, their smartwatch is no longer connected to the app.
“I just updated my app on the iPhone, and now it says I have no watch connected to the app!! Anyone else with the same problem?” wrote one user on Reddit.
At first, users were unsure whether the problem was related to Apple’s iOS or to the Garmin Connect update.
Users reported that their iPhones no longer detect their smartwatches, and the Connect apps load but don’t detect the devices, according to Gadgets&Wearables.
The problem has affected multiple devices, including Forerunner 965, Enduro 3, and Fenix 7 series.
Some users later shared a fix for this issue. They reported removing their watch from their iPhone's Bluetooth devices, then pairing the watch to the device again, opening the Connect app on the iPhone, and pairing the device there, too.

The company hasn’t yet provided its users with a fix, with some users avoiding the update for now.
This isn’t the first time Garmin has faced issues with its application.
At the beginning of 2025, Garmin Connect suffered a worldwide outage, leaving users unable to log their session stats and disrupting the challenges they were in. Some users suspected that the outage was caused by hackers.
The company also faced backlash from users over the Garmin Connect+ subscription plan, leading some to start a petition against it.
