Social media users have claimed a new victim, with deepfake AI memes of Jake Paul beginning to surface on TikTok, X, and Instagram. But is there more to the story than just great memes?
Deepfake, AI-generated memes of Jake Paul have been polluting social media, and the influencer turned boxing star has finally had enough.
Paul supposedly spoke out against the creators of these deepfake memes, which depict him coming out as gay, wearing princess outfits, and getting swept up by a tornado.

The videos have exploded on social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and X, as many people have seemingly taken to OpenAI’s latest product, Sora 2, to generate life-like videos of the YouTuber turned professional boxer.
Many of the videos show Paul telling the world that he is coming out as gay, while he puts on make-up and talks in an extremely stereotypical fashion.
Concerns about the perpetuation of homophobic stereotypes have surfaced online, as users are seemingly mocking the LGBT community through the medium of memes.
Paul has been avidly responding to these videos, seemingly taking the mockery in his stride.

However, his girlfriend, professional speed skater Jutta Leerdam, wasn’t too happy about the highly realistic videos depicting her partner as gay.
“I don’t like it, it’s not funny,” she said in the TikTok video, “People believe it.”
Another “response” video shows Paul saying that the creators of these videos “need to get a life” while he puts makeup on his face.

While many people believed that Jake Paul was just the next celebrity target for deepfake, artificially generated mockery, there’s an ulterior motive behind the whole operation.
Paul created a post on October 10th, 2025, saying that “there’s a method to the madness…”
He soon revealed that he’s “a proud OpenAI investor” and that he “agreed to become the first celebrity NIL cameo user.”
“From there, things went crazy,” the influencer said.
People have been asking me “Jake why are there all these AI videos of you on the internet?!”

Paul revealed that his cameo, a platform where celebrities and influencers can create custom messages for fans, generated over one billion views, according to App Archive data.
The data claims that there were over 6,500 Sora videos of Paul across Instagram and TikTok, which generated over one billion views and $57 million in media value.
The term “NIL” stands for “Name, Image, and Likeness,” which is usually attributed to celebrities and athletes who use their personal brand to earn money.
Paul has seemingly licensed his NIL to OpenAI in order to make a fortune, something that celebrities and actors like Scarlett Johansson have been battling against.
