Independent break-in simulation tests have shown that Vivint will typically respond within 35 seconds of the alarm triggering. When that happens, the Smart Hub sounds the sirens and alerts the monitoring center.
From there, the provider’s agents will first try to reach you via two-way audio, then by phone. If you don’t respond, a monitoring representative will listen in for 30 seconds and then dispatch the necessary authorities, such as the local police or the fire department.
And since the Smart Hub also features cellular and battery backup, you can stay connected to one of these monitoring centers even if an intruder were to cut your home’s power.
