Fellow musician Jason Derulo posted a photo of Chris Brown attending Rihanna and ASAP Rocky’s gender reveal party. But the situation is not as straightforward as it seems.
A strange image of artists Rihanna, ASAP Rocky, and Chris Brown has gone viral on social media.
The image shows musician Chris Brown holding a gift for pop star Rihanna and rapper ASAP Rocky in a room full of people documenting the whole thing.
It was uploaded to none other than artist Jason Derulo’s Facebook account, with the odd caption “Chris Brown went to Rihanna gender revealed party.”
The post received 95,000 reactions, 1,800 shares, and 3,800 comments on Facebook.
The comments section was flooded with people stating the obvious: This image isn’t real – it’s generated using artificial intelligence (AI).
The picture looks pretty convincing from afar and could fool people into believing that Chris Brown and Rihanna have had an amicable reunion following their tumultuous past.
However, when you examine the image closely, there are some telltale signs that it was generated using AI.

For example, AI struggles to generate images with the correct number of fingers. In the image, a woman holding a pink phone has only three fingers.
Another sign that the image is AI-generated is a monstrous-looking face right by Brown’s arm.
There’s also a sign at the back of the room that just says “Baby #3,” which has been generated pretty poorly.
AI often struggles to generate text in pictures as it can’t understand language and doesn’t tend to differentiate letters from other symbols.

It’s unclear as to why Derulo would’ve posted this image on his verified Facebook account.
However, users have speculated that the pop star may have been hacked due to the grammatically incorrect caption and the random nature of the post.
“I am certain this profile, if it is indeed his, has been compromised/hacked,” one user said on Reddit.
The responses to the AI-generated image on social media sites like Facebook and Reddit show that netizens are concerned about the use of AI in this context.

One Reddit user said, “Bro, can we f*cking ban this software/form of AI? There's nothing good that can come of it. It's way too damn easy to make something look realistic and damaging as hell.”
“I fear it’s only going to get much worse,” one user responded.
