Wait, the White House has a meme account?

An Estonian search party gets bear-stracted, and the US government cares more about memes and seafood than, well, most things actually.

Welcome back to “Idiots of the Internet.”

If you’re unfamiliar with the concept, this is a weekly roundup of all the stupid things I’ve encountered online.

As a person who is chronically online, I believe I’m qualified to deliver some of the most painstakingly stupid moments that have been captured and subsequently uploaded ot the internet.

Not only am I chronically online, but I’m also afflicted with the unrelenting disease that is idiocy.

In other words, I’m overqualified.

So, come with me on a journey to the dumbest recesses of the World Wide Web, where idiots aren’t born, but made.

XOXO

Your leader,

The Supreme Idiot

The White House is now a meme account

One of the US government’s X accounts appears to have turned into a meme account after the White House started posting “cringe” content related to the US/Israel and Iran war.

The White House posted a video that shows US bowler Pete Weber scoring a strike while Lynard Skynard’s Free Bird plays in the background.

The video then cuts to a group of bowling pins holding rifles and a sign that says “We won’t stop making nuclear weapons.”

This video is a rip-off of the 90s strike animations you may remember from times bowling as a kid. The animation has since become a popular meme among young people.

Following the animations comes heavily edited “unclassified” footage of real strikes in Iran.

Another video uploaded by the White House follows a similar theme. This time, the US government has lifted clips from Nintendo’s Wii Sports.

This caused “Wii Sports” to trend on X, after the White House social media post received over 60 million views.

The caption above the video says “UNDEFEATED.”

Despite the backlash, the videos are still available to watch on the White House’s official X page.

Pete Hegseth definitely hit his protein goal this month

The US Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, reportedly spent a boatload of money on random stuff that is totally excessive.

Hegseth supposedly gave the green light for the Pentagon to spend more than $93 billion in September.

But surely this is on top-secret government stuff that is needed to protect the national security of American citizens?

No, the US’s Secretary of Defense spent $9 million on crabs and lobsters.

In September alone, the Department of Defense spent $6.9 million on lobster tail and $2 milliion on Alaskan king crab, according to the nonprofit Open the Books.

That’s a lotta lobster.

Estonians go on the hunt to find missing man, get sidetracked by bear

The non-profit organization “MTU L.E.I.A” was attempting to locate a missing man near Tartu, Estonia, when they came across a sight that they couldn’t ignore.

A bear, who had recently come out of hibernation, was seen playing around in the snow.

The wholesome sight caught the attention of the rescue team, and they decided it would be best to fully capture the moment.

However, the location of the missing person is still unknown, the non-profit said, as reported by AP News.

One comment under the Instagram post from AP News particularly caught my eye.

  • Man’s family: “Have you found him?”
  • Drone operator: “lol no. But check out this video of a bear getting the zoomies!”

We hope the man is found safe and well, but at this rate, it seems dismal.
