LG reveals world’s first bendable monitor ahead of its launch at CES 2025

One of LG’s UltraGear GX9 series monitors has already received three CES 2025 Innovation Awards ahead of its release.

LG is set to release its UltraGear GX9 series gaming monitors, which will also include the world’s first bendable monitor, during CES 2025.

LG’s UltraGear GX9 series monitors are equipped with the company’s WOLED (White OLED) technology. This technology omits white light while providing high brightness and vibrant colors.

The new series monitors are also certified for low blue light emissions, which reduces eyestrain caused by long hours of gaming. LG monitors also include an Anti-Glare and Low Reflection (AGLR) coating, which reduces screen reflection and glare.

When it comes to UltraGear GX9 series specifications, its two models, 45GX990A and 45GX950A, feature a 45-inch display with an “ultra-high” 5K2K resolution. It also includes a 21:9 aspect ratio for “a more immersive gaming experience.”

Both monitors also include Dual-Mode, which allows users to customize the aspect ratios (21:9 or 16:9) and picture sizes (39, 34, or 27 inches) and personalize gaming setups to their preferences.

Among UltraGear GX9 series monitors is the award-winning 45GX950A model, the world’s first bendable 45-inch 5K2K OLED gaming monitor.

Equipped with a curved (800R), 21:9 format 5K2K-resolution self-lit 45-inch panel, it's reported to display distinct, lifelike images and improved readability, making the monitor useful not only for gaming but also for tasks like editing.
