Human-like robot hand to assist in surgeries will be revealed at CES 2025

Only have two hands? A helping (robotic) hand is on its way.

Shenzhen ZhaoWei Machinery & Electronics Co. Ltd., a China-based manufacturer, has presented its latest innovation, the Dexterous Hand.

The robotic hand was created for use in multiple areas, including the manufacturing, consumer robotics, and healthcare industries, and the device is capable of performing everyday tasks by imitating human accuracy.

Created as an exact replica of a real hand, the Dexterous Hand can simulate human movements with each finger, equipped with “joints” that allow them to work separately. This way the hand can do tasks that require gripping and twisting.

When it comes to the physical technicalities of the hand, the device was designed to be lightweight and compact, so it could be used efficiently in limited spaces for long periods of time.

The hand was created for tasks such as assisting in surgery, assembling various complex components, or helping users with everyday tasks that require “human-like accuracy and finesse.”

ZHAOWEI, a company that was founded in 2001 and is known for its micro drive solutions, will showcase its innovation in January during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025 in Las Vegas.
