Secondly, if your purchase is delivered but significantly differs from its description (e.g., you buy an iPhone 16 on Facebook Marketplace but receive an iPhone 11), you can report it to PayPal within 30 days of receiving your package.

While these general guidelines may seem straightforward, PayPal includes many exceptions. For example, Purchase Protection doesn't apply at all to real estate, motor vehicles, personal services, or gift cards, among others. On top of that, the significantly different clause doesn't apply to custom items, so if you buy a bespoke suit that doesn't match the description, PayPal won't help you.
