Football fans could enjoy free mobile data access with Yesim

ZUG (April 2, 2026) – Yesim, a leading global travel eSIM connectivity provider, is launching its specialized Football Fan Plan 2026 for fans traveling to the global football tournament this summer. The tariff offers 10 GB of data with seamless coverage across all three host nations: the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Ahead of the coming tournament, Yesim is running a promotion offering fans the chance to access this plan free of charge.

During the summer tournament, without reliable internet access, fans may face difficulties entering stadiums, as stadium entry will be available exclusively via digital tickets in the official mobile app. Fans will also be travelling between multiple cities across three countries, which can create additional challenges. With each move, they have to consider roaming, compare tariffs, search for Wi-Fi, or buy SIM cards at airports.

“We give football fans the opportunity to focus on their national team’s game rather than worrying about how to access the internet to update a ticket QR code or order a taxi in an unfamiliar city. The internet should work along the entire journey, regardless of how many countries it involves,” commented Dmitri Verbovski, Founder and CEO of Yesim.

Unlike roaming, where rates from a single operator can vary across countries, or a local SIM card that does not work outside one country, the Yesim Football Fan Plan 2026 covers the United States, Canada, and Mexico under a single tariff.

The Yesim service is based on eSIM technology, a built-in digital SIM chip installed in most modern smartphones. It allows users to activate mobile internet within minutes via an app, without purchasing a physical SIM card or visiting mobile operator stores. Users simply select a country or plan and get connected upon arrival. As soon as they land, they can be online immediately.

To participate in the promotion, users need to register on the campaign page, enter their email address, and wait for the prize draw. Registration will be open until May 25, 2026, and the draw will take place from May 4 to May 31. Free access to 10 GB of internet will be awarded to 2,500 participants in the giveaway. In addition, Yesim will offer discounts on the Football Fan Plan 2026: 3,000 prizes at 50% off and 3,500 at 25% off. Fans who do not receive a bonus through the promotion will still be able to purchase the plan. Priced at €25, it includes 10 GB of data across the United States, Canada, and Mexico under a single tariff. The plan will be available for purchase from March 25 to July 31, 2026.

“Football Fan Plan 2026 is an attempt to rethink the approach to connectivity at major international events. We designed the tariff so that the internet works across the entire fan journey, eliminating common connectivity issues,” says Dmitri Verbovski, Founder and CEO of Yesim. “Using eSIM technology makes network access more predictable and convenient for trips of this scale.”
