TikTok “if she says no” trend goes viral after woman stabbed 40 times by man she rejected

In the wake of the global “rape academy,” a new disturbing trend is taking place on social media where men simulate acts of violence against women who reject them.

But unfortunately, this isn’t unique. While it takes many forms, iterations of the same exploitative content have been on the internet since its inception.

Recently, a disturbing social media trend has emerged, where men are “training” for rejection and are either consciously or unconsciously instructing men on what to do if a woman says no.

While this type of content is allegedly satirical and only intended to entertain TikTok users around the world, the message reinforces misogynistic ideas that lead to real-life violence.

Alana Anisio Rosa, a 20-year-old woman from Brazil, politely rejected a man at the gym who was reportedly bombarding her with gifts.

Unable to bear the weight of this rejection, Luis Felipe Sampaio allegedly entered Alana’s home and stabbed her between 40 and 50 times with a pocket knife, according to France24.

The victim’s mother walked in on the savage attack and witnessed Sampaio “stabbing her over and over again,” Alana’s mother told AFP.

Alana was put in an induced coma to recover from her injuries, and miraculously, she survived. The young woman attended the first trial hearing of the accused.

This demonstration of strength, however, sparked a nationwide TikTok trend called “if she says no,” in which men show what they would do if they were rejected.

These videos started in Brazil and have since been recreated all over the world.

Some of the videos take place in martial arts studios, where men can show off their assault skills.

Other videos found by and compiled by the social media outlet Brut show men and boys attacking punching bags and even holding guns.
