Tic Tacs, warships, and whistleblowers – navy UAP footage resurfaces off California coast

New footage reignites questions: what’s flying over – and diving under – US waters?

An astonishing 2023 video filmed by high-ranking navy officers, capturing UFO footage off the Southern California coast, has resurfaced once again. It shows “tic-tac”-shaped objects emerging near the water.

In an exclusive with NBC News, documentarian and ufologist Jeremy Corbell gave a six-minute interview, clearly staggered at how these objects, with notable footage released in 2004, 2019 and 2023, were able to fly without impunity.

The reaction on social media was mostly positive with one poster on X bemoaning “the manic repressive” nature of the US in covering up UFO sightings.

Then there’s the more cynical that doubt such patchy evidence. One user claimed the persistence of the believers “is just plain sad.”

The coast is a UFO hotspot

The Southern California coast is a common hotspot for capturing anomalies due to the high level of surveillance equipment that the American navy deploys.

One video in 2004 captured a vessel described as a “smooth, white oblong shape” – like a tic-tac – and moved in a way that defied common physics – i.e., sudden altitude drops.

Multiple fighter jets, radar operators and ship censors confirmed the sighting that has gone down as one of the most credible UAP sightings in recent decades.

Then, in 2019, officials aboard USS Russell filmed a pyramid-style UAP hovering above the ship.

The night-vision footage appeared to show an object blinking and rotating and was even confirmed by the Pentagon as being a credible document of an unidentified phenomenon, which is an important differentiating factor from the slew of misinterpreted civilian footage that is largely still seen as a taboo.

Subsequently in 2023, Corbell released footage taken from ship USS Jackson, which shows a glowing white object maneuvering over the water. Witness testimony says the object emerged from the ocean before dipping back in.

Consistent, unexplained phenomena

The coming-together of clips forms a pattern of consistent evidence that military-level sensors are surely the most credible kind of proof that there indeed could be something out there.

In the NBC interview, presenter Gadi Schwartz asks Corbell why more witnesses don’t come forward with tangible evidence and if it’s because people are afraid of losing credibility and even their jobs.

Corbell stated that, in fact, thousands of videos have yet to be seen by the public and that he and his team are lobbying for full disclosure of the footage.

Corbell then expands on the disclosure struggle by mentioning that the topic is a taboo thing and that success doesn’t come overnight.

“It's a long haul thing. UFOs have been taboo for so long. It's now admitted they're flying without impunity in a restricted airspace and we have footage like this. Military filmed of a UAP from a Navy warship in a critical area, just off the coast of California. It's gonna take time,” he said to NBC.

This slow-drip of whistleblowers means that UFO believers have to be patient with the evidence that unfolds. As tech advances and public pressure grows, perhaps more clips will be revealed soon.
