Google and its YouTube team have confirmed “working with Nintendo” to offer a YouTube app for the Nintendo Switch 2.
The Switch 2 currently supports existing games and apps, but accessing YouTube has been an issue for users.
Nintendo noted that the problem “is being investigated”, and a user recently reached out to YouTube via X to ask whether there’ve been any updates on the situation. The company responded that it is "working with Nintendo to make YouTube available on the Switch 2 soon."

YouTube asks users to “stay tuned for any updates”, so it’s probable that the issue will be resolved soon. Among other apps that still don’t work on the Switch 2 are Hulu, Crunchyroll, and Niconico.
On June 5th, Nintendo Switch 2 fans were finally able to access the console. However, not everyone was happy.
Some users complained that the package is so thin that by puncturing staples, employees damage the box and even the device’s screen.
@gamestop stapled the receipt for me and my friends Switch 2s to the box.
