Meta’s popular platforms, Facebook and Instagram, are down across the United States and Europe, with users unable to access their feeds.
Cybernews was unable to connect to Facebook and Instagram as both platforms struggled to load feeds.
Users also report being logged out of Messenger when attempting to use the app. Meta’s business suite also displayed issues with loading updates.
However, Meta's status page showed that there were no issues effecting its service at the time of writing.
Meta's status page has only reported disruptions with Facebook Ads Manager which was showing "high disruptions."
Downdetector also displayed issues. When trying to verify the outages, the platform would return a 404 - Page Not Found message.
Cybernews consulted another website monitoring service, “Down For Everyone or Just Me,” which showed that Facebook is experiencing issues that started only 33 minutes ago.
The graph showing “Live Facebook Problems” shows that nearly 15,000 people have reported issues.
Downdetector eventually displayed problems with Facebook, Instagram, and other major Meta services like WhatsApp.
