X, a social media platform owned by billionaire Elon Musk, is experiencing issues as users across the globe report outages on Downdetector.
Users are reporting issues with X, as over 24,000 people in the US alone have reported via Downdetector.
Similarly, in the UK, over 7,500 users have reported issues with the X app, feed, and timelines, as well as the website itself.
Cybernews attempted to access X via its website. While we were able to search, the feed itself didn’t load.
The official X account on the platform has not updated users on the outage, and the cause of the technical issues is unknown.
This comes after Elon Musk’s platform has been criticized, particularly because of its inbuilt AI, Grok, generating explicit and non-consensual images of women and children.
It’s unclear as to how this outage occurred and whether it was a cyberattack on X following the nonconsensual deepfake porn scandal.
