UFO whistleblower says government has recovered craft and aliens may want our genes

So-called UFO whistleblower Dylan Borland made his claims while speaking on Hang Out with Sean Hannity about the government retrieving alien aircraft, aliens abducting humans, and using Earth as their new potential planet.

On the podcast was the usual talk of the US government having recovered alien craft, with Borland claiming he knows “for a fact” that this was the case.

He also discussed why extra-terrestrials might be here.

Host Sean Hannity made the assertion that “it may not be as malevolent as maybe some people would naively think,” adding that “there seems to be an interest in getting something from us” and them needing to keep their species alive.

The next logical step in this supposition would be how aliens take abductees on board to do testing.

UFO investigator Ben Hansen appeared alongside Borland, claiming that abductions happen in people's homes in suburbia and that "no one claims it's Disneyland and sunshine and roses.”

Hansen also explained that humans don’t bat an eyelid concerning our treatment of insects, whether experimenting or stepping on them.

And rather than face the binary of black or white, Borland explored the fact that the wider populace are more open to connecting the dots.

If you open that door, a lot of people, even if it’s not true, believe in that possibility, [and] there’ll be a segment of society whose imagination will fill in that gap.

He agreed with Hannity that “it seems to do with genes, reproduction,” saying that “this is literally a hypothetical: maybe their planet's dead and they're coming here to replace us.”

Borland stepped into the whistleblowing spotlight in September 2025, following his congressional testimony regarding a 2012 encounter with a triangular craft at a US air base.

His reported firsthand account differs from those of other distinguished figures like Matthew Brown, Luis Elizondo, or David Grusch, whose claims rely primarily on audited documents, intelligence reports, and witness interviews.

Reddit is not so sure, however

Though podcasts such as Hang Out give license to hypothesize, a selection of Redditors on the r/UFO forum were displeased with the lack of factual analysis during the discussion.

“I would prefer so-called whistleblowers to stick with facts and not go on shows to make wild speculations and what-ifs,” said one commenter, while another, @R2robot, accused Borland of diluting his reputation.

It just turns these podcasts into people pitching science fiction story concepts at each other.

On top of that, the broader context of whistleblowers was brought to the table, with comparisons of Borland and Brown given for experiential reasons.

“Seeing a single craft in the jungle doesn’t make you a respected voice on hypothetical interplanetary alien dynamics. Seeing one PDF on a server doesn’t qualify you to theorize on god and the universe.”

To Borland's defense came commenter @Grismundgames, who accounted for the added depth to Borland's black triangle encounter: “He’s hinted that there’s more to that event, but he’s not at liberty to say.”

The Redditor suggested Brown was a pontificator as he is “not an insider in any capacity.”

Still, perhaps a drop of speculation can be more refreshing than the lockstep of bureaucratic whistleblowing.
